Parliamentarians for the TPNW November 27, 2023 at 2:00pm - 5pm Eastern Time (US & Canada) United Nations UN Headquarters - 405 E 45th St New York, NY 10017 United States Contact person: Florian Eblenkamp
Parliamentarians play a crucial role in the success of the TPNW as they are in a key position to promote the TPNW in every country. By creating a cohesive network among legislators to
strategize, exchanging insights, and reinforcing unity among lawmakers from different parties and countries the parliamentarian conference may catalyse tangible progress towards nuclear disarmament.
This conference enables parliamentarians to continue the dialogue on the abolition of nuclear weapons and to share the necessary information and network for advancing the TPNW in their respective countries and political contexts. Through a selection of experts from humanitarian law, diplomacy and international cooperation, the event aims to foster sharing of information and strategies and to educate about the humanitarian consequences of nuclear weapons. The parliamentarian conference is an opportunity for the elected officials to agree on common practical next steps for governments outside the treaty to consider and is open to legislators from all countries and parties.
The conference is by invitation only.
