Former members of ICAN's International Steering Group
ICAN's International Steering Group (ISG) is made up of partner organisations of ICAN to reflect the nature of ICAN as a coalition of different partner organisations, and is responsible for the governance of the campaign. Former members of the steering group are listed below:
Swedish Physicians against Nuclear Weapons (SLMK)
Svenska Läkare Mot Kärnvapen (SLMK) is Sweden's largest disarmament organization, with about 2,500 doctors and medical students as members. SLMK works to abolish nuclear weapons by disseminating knowledge about the medical effects of nuclear weapons, with the aim of preventing them from being used again.

WILPF
The Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF), based in New York, USA, was an ICAN ISG member - and part of ICAN's governance from 2008-2024. WILPF is one of the world’s longest-standing women’s peace organisations, working to achieve sustainable peace through a feminist lens.

Article 36
Article 36 is a specialist non-profit organisation, focused on reducing harm from weapons. Article 36 was an ICAN ISG member and part of ICAN's governance until 2024.

Norwegian People's Aid
Norwegian People’s Aid is a politically independent membership-based organisation working in Norway and in more than 30 countries around the world. Founded in 1939 as the labour movement's humanitarian solidarity organisation, NPA aims to improve people's living conditions and to create a democratic, just and safe society. NPA's international work covers three core areas: Mine Action and disarmament, Development and Humanitarian relief aid.
