LET’S STAND FOR A NUCLEAR-FREE FUTURE

at the RAYTHEON PLANT in Tucson, Arizona, U.S.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 26, from 2:00 - 3:00 P.M.

The International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), recipient of the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize, has called for an International Day of Action on Sunday, November 26, the day before the Second Meeting of States Parties of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) kicks off at the United Nations in NYC. The Nuclear Resister is one of more than 600 ICAN partner organizations around the world.

We will gather that day at Raytheon to show the world our support for the TPNW and opposition to nuclear weapons everywhere, and as an expression of gratitude to the 69 countries that have ratified the treaty so far.

Please wear all white or all black. We will have yellow fabric squares printed with black radiation symbols that you may safety pin on the front of your shirt. We also have 6 white coveralls with the ICAN logo printed on the front and back that some people can wear over their clothes (2 small, 2 medium, 2 large) - feel free to let us know beforehand if you’d like to wear one.

We will display black and white signs reading We Stand for a Nuclear-Free Future, Legacy of the Nuclear Age, Downwinders, Atomic Veterans, Uranium Miners, Victims of Nuclear Bombs & Reactors.

Please do NOT bring any of your own signs, banners or flags on November 26 - we are wanting to convey a very specific visual message and image. Thank you.
