Chicago Area Peace Action applauds the work of ICAN, the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons - and all of its supporter organizations across the globe - for their tireless work in organizing scores of nations to make the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) a reality. We will celebrate the 1st anniversary of this historic occasion on Monday, January 24th, 2022, at 6 P.M. Central, by showing a powerful 30-minute film "The Beginning of the End of Nuclear Weapons", followed by a discussion of what WE can do, in the spirit of grassroots organizing, to move the United States along a path to adopting this essential treaty.
