At the upcoming United Nations General Assembly, we demand every government talk about the problem of nuclear weapons, and what they are doing to solve it.

Nuclear weapons are the most inhumane and indiscriminate weapons ever created. They violate international law, cause severe environmental damage, undermine national and global security, and divert vast public resources away from meeting human needs. They must be eliminated urgently. Fortunately, there is a treaty, supported by half of the world’s nations, to do so.

For most, their answer is that they have committed to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. (check your country’s status here

But, some are still holding out, and we need your help to get others to join in our demand to reject nuclear weapons and commit to the only treaty prohibiting their use.

What better way to honour the survivors of the US nuclear detonation in Trinity and bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, than to make a commitment to never let it happen again.

You can help end nuclear weapons. For 80 years, the world has lived under the shadow of nuclear weapons and now, the risk of nuclear weapons use is the highest it has been in decades. But it does not have to be this way. Together, we can take meaningful action to rid the world of these weapons of mass destruction.
