ICAN funds for universalisation activities 2023

Supporting Capacity Building and Advocacy Towards Universalisation of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW)

The Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons entered into force on 22 January 2021. Now, efforts must be made to grow the membership. At the first Meeting of States Parties, States committed to making universalisation a priority. Each additional state party will strengthen the norm against nuclear weapons and increase the future success of the treaty.

The objective of this fund is to support specific and time-bound activities in 2023 aimed at encouraging and enabling national and regional progress towards universalizing the TPNW.
