In the face of unprecedented childhood trauma, many hibakusha have dedicated their lives to ensuring that no one else must face what they did on 6 and 9 August 1945. They shouldn’t have to bear this burden alone. As the world marks the 75th anniversary of the bombings of their cities, join the survivors in calling on the world’s governments to join the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons and eliminate nuclear weapons.

ICAN is grateful to the 1945 Project for allowing the use of photos and testimonies.
