Daniel Högsta is Campaign Coordinator of ICAN, responsible for the ICAN Cities Appeal, the ICAN Parliamentary Pledge, as well as supporting the campaign activities and political engagement of ICAN’s partner organisations.
Daniel was previously the liaison for ICAN with the diplomatic corps in Geneva, including with the leading ban treaty-supporting States. During the negotiation of the TPNW in New York in 2017, he helped to lead ICAN’s lobbying team to ensure the Treaty reflected ICAN’s core principles. Since the adoption of the Treaty, Daniel’s work has focused on supporting the work of ICAN partners in “nuclear umbrella” state contexts, as well as broadening the community of stakeholders that champion the TPNW.
He has worked for ICAN since 2012 and has a degrees in Political Science from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and a degree in Law from the University of Edinburgh.
