NZ: Malcolm Fraser on eliminating nuclear weapons

Speaking at the National Consultative Committee on Disarmament Conference in Wellington, New Zealand, former Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser, stipulated: "The most effective, expeditious and practical way to achieve and sustain the abolition of nuclear weapons is to negotiate a comprehensive, irreversible, binding, verifiable treaty - a Nuclear Weapons Convention."

Non-proliferation commission meets in Sydney

The international community must wake up to the threat of nuclear weapons proliferation, the Australian chairman of a new disarmament body says.
