Iceland is a signatory of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and has signed and ratified the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT).
Iceland is a member of the NATO nuclear alliance but is the only member who does not actively participate in their Nuclear Planning Group.
