What does it mean to be an ICAN partner?
ICAN partners are organisations that agree to support the work of ICAN to abolish nuclear weapons through a Nuclear Weapons Convention (NWC).
Some things ICAN partners do, include:
- Adopt an organisational policy to work for nuclear weapons abolition and support for a NWC, communicating your position to members, relevant levels of government, and any international counterparts – encouraging them to take similar action
- Be listed as a partner on the ICAN website
- Promote ICAN to your members, encourage your members to support ICAN as individuals, articles about ICAN in your publications, an ICAN segment on your website and links to the ICAN website:
- Promote weapons abolition via events such as meetings or conferences, Invite an ICAN speaker at an event once or twice a year
- Participate in ICAN events
- Make donations to ICAN
