International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons

City of Yarra Mayor, Cr Jenny Farrar, said the Mayors for Peace Program was an important initiative for both the local and international community.

"Our involvement in this program sends a clear message to our local community that we support peace around the world and are committed to the abolishment of nuclear weapons... "I encourage all Victorian Mayors on 21 September (the International Day of Peace) to consider joining Yarra, Darebin, Moreland, Melbourne, Moonee Valley and Port Phillip in being part of the Mayors for Peace program," Cr Farrar said.
