Help us build this campaign

Nuclear weapons threaten everything we love, but 2019 could be the they become illegal under international law. The Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons is gaining ground quickly and once 50 states join the treaty, it will enter into force. Our campaigners around the world are getting ready to double down on their efforts and hit that 50 state mark in 2019. Will you help us get there?

Help us empower the campaign that will end nuclear weapons for good!

Your contribution will empower our campaigners as they promote the treaty in their parts of the world:

  • With $10,000 we can set up multiple opportunities for our campaigners to lobby decision-makers at the African Union Summits
  • With $20,000 we can also send campaigners to talk to the foreign ministers of the 12 Caribbean countries that have yet to ratify the treaty or organise a big regional meeting to bring them on board
  • With $30,000 we can support small projects around the world that help our campaigners focus on getting their country or the countries in their region to join the treaty
  • With $50,000 we can empower our campaigners to do all of the above and more.

Help make 2019 a success by giving what you can and inviting your friends to support ICAN. Every contribution helps.

The International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons is a global movement with hundreds of partners around the world, and the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize to its name. The Norwegian Nobel Committee said it awarded our campaign this price  “for its work to draw attention to the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of any use of nuclear weapons and for its ground-breaking efforts to achieve a treaty-based prohibition of such weapons”.
