ICAN has partnered with several organizations, including Soka Gakkai International, to host an exhibition in Manama, Bahrain, entitled “From a Culture of Violence to a Culture of Peace – Toward a World Free from Nuclear Weapons”. It is hosted under the patronage of HE Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the nation’s foreign minister.

The exhibition highlights the threat of nuclear weapons through the lens of human security, while placing the work of their abolition at the heart of building a culture of peace. The exhibition has been shown in more than 230 venues in 29 countries and territories. Manama is the first city in the Middle East region to host it.

The opening ceremony took place on 12 March at Bahrain National Museum. The exhibition will be open from 13 to 23 March, at Seef Mall, West Exhibition area.
